Jessica Simpson began performing at age 12 as part of her local church choir. She auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club, but she missed out on becoming part of the MMC. Simpson was discovered by a small record label in Dallas and recorded her first album; The album was funded by her grandmother and is very rare and hard to find today.

In 1999 Jessica Simpson released her second album - I Wanna Love You Forever was a #1 hit across the world, and soon she was being called the next Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. In 2002 she married her longtime boyfriend Nick Lachey. In 2003 Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey produced their own MTV hit show "Newlyweds", which became a huge success worldwide.
