Taking Back Sunday modeled their interpretation of melodic hardcore after bands like Lifetime, Endpoint, and Sunny Day Real Estate. After the release of a five-song demo and a year's worth of touring, TBS signed to Victory Records. Their debut album, Tell All Your Friends, layered Adam Lazzara's emotional vocals and the dual-guitar assault of Reyes and John Nolan, fashioning a classic hardcore sound with pop song components.

Propelled by the success of popular songs "A Decade Under the Influence," "Cute Without the 'E'," "Error Operator," and "MakeDamnSure" punk-rock band Taking Band Sunday has been earning fans one city at a time.
